The days never have enough time for me to devote to my favorite hobby beading. Especially when you work a full-time job too. Perhaps that’s why you’ll find me up at 3 or 4 am just to get more time in for my favorite hobby. My husband tells me I’m obsessed with beads, well I say, I must be possessed by the spirit of beads, because I love it so much.
Our anniversity is this Thursday the 12th, he asked me what I wanted for my anniversary gift. When most women would say, a new necklace (I can make that), a diamond bracelet (I can make that too), clothes, dinner out, etc. No, not me, I asked for a jewelry tumbler. I’ve wanted one for a long time and have just not been able to purchase it yet. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to use it. What fun, now I don’t have to hand polish my wirework, and hand polishing just doesn’t give it that sheen a tumbler does.
Check out some of my wirework below, some pieces are older ones and some are my newer designs.
I hand make everything when I work with wire, the jump rings, ear-wires and clasps. I will be adding tutorial on how to do this to my website and blog soon. Check back often to check them out.
Beads Perles was kind of enough to invite me to interview for their fantastic blog. The blog is in spanish, but all your have to do is hit the translate button at the top, and it changes to the language of your choice check it out:
Here’s another lariat necklace I created using pearls, only this time I used baby blue crystals, white pearls, purple pearls and sterling silver.
Oh no….there’s something missing! Oh yes, matching earrings and bracelet, its off to the bead room I go!
It’s so rare that I create with anything other than Sterling wire, but Copper has caught my attention lately and I’ve found using it with white pearls adds a certain flare I really like. Let me know what you think.
